Ground Burial

When it comes to a traditional in-ground burial, your family can choose between family or multiple space lots, or single graves available at Mount Vernon Cemetery and local cemeteries. We’ll walk you through the different cemeteries that exist in our community, and assist you in finding an option that fits your needs, budget, and personal preferences.

Mausoleums

Mount Vernon Cemetery's mausoleum provides a space for above-ground entombment of physical remains within a beautiful structure on the cemetery grounds. In the spring of 2018, we completed our wall of beautiful glass front niches in our mausoleum.  We offer single, companion and family size niches with glass nameplates. Your family can choose to use their own private structure or may opt to share space in a community mausoleum. Though in the past a private family mausoleum was considered cost-prohibitive for many families, they’ve recently become a much more affordable option and a valuable investment for future peace of mind.

Cremation Options

There are a variety of ways to care for your loved ones cremated remains. You may decide to keep them at your home, spread them in a cherished location, or inter them in a cemetery plot or place them in a mausoleum niche. These options are available to you at Mount Vernon Cemetery and other local cemeteries. You may also choose more than one for these options by dividing the cremated remains into portions.

Kern Funeral Home has its own crematory located at Mount Vernon Cemetery. Your love done will remain in our personal care throughout.
